SYK Content Guidelines

SYK is designed to help people share information, context, resources, and ideas in a clear and organized way.

When using SYK, please ensure the content you share follows these guidelines.

Uploaded files must follow the same guidelines as notes, links, videos, and all other SYK content.

Allowed Content

You may use SYK to share:

  • Personal notes and explanations
  • Educational content
  • Project documentation
  • Business information
  • Links, videos, files, and resources
  • Creative work and portfolios
  • Opinions, commentary, and discussion
Prohibited Content

Do not use SYK to share, promote, distribute, or facilitate access to:

Illegal Content

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Content that exploits or endangers minors
  • Content that violates applicable laws

Adult Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit content
  • Adult file sharing or distribution
  • Links whose primary purpose is accessing pornographic content
  • Content promoting adult services

Content discussing sexuality, relationships, health, identity, education, news, or public policy is generally permitted, provided it does not otherwise violate these guidelines.

Harmful or Dangerous Content

  • Credible threats of violence
  • Instructions intended to facilitate violent crimes
  • Content that promotes terrorism or extremist violence
  • Malicious software, phishing, or fraud

Harassment and Abuse

  • Targeted harassment
  • Doxxing or sharing private personal information without consent
  • Content intended to intimidate, threaten, or abuse individuals

Spam and Deceptive Content

  • Unsolicited advertising or mass spam
  • Fraudulent schemes
  • Impersonation intended to deceive others

Intellectual Property

Do not upload or distribute content that you do not have the right to share.

Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights may be removed.

Reporting Content

If you believe a SYK violates these guidelines, you may use the Report Abuse feature available on published SYKs.

Reports are reviewed by a human and may result in content being removed or access being restricted.

Enforcement

SYKs that violate these guidelines may be removed without notice. Repeated or severe violations may result in publishing restrictions, IP bans, or permanent removal of content.

Our Goal

SYK exists to help people communicate more clearly by keeping context attached to what they share. These guidelines are intended to protect that goal while keeping the platform useful, open, and respectful.
